Images are perfect for increasing the visual appeal and student comprehension of course content. By adding images, you will also be aiding students who are visual learners. Photos are also great for explaining content that might otherwise be difficult to explain in words alone.

Photoshop

Photoshop is an advanced photo editing and image manipulation software. Crop, resize, and edit photographs and images.

How to Get It

Photoshop is available for both Windows and Mac. This technology comes pre-installed on state-owned devices. Please see Adobe Creative Cloud licensing for Faculty and Staff State-Owned Machines for more information.

For personally owned devices, the Adobe Creative Cloud, a suite of software which includes Photoshop, is available to state faculty and staff for work-at-home use for a nominal fee. Please see Adobe Creative Cloud licensing for Faculty and Staff Personally-Owned Machines for more information.

Microsoft Paint

Use Microsoft Paint to easily create drawings and edit images.

How to Get It

Microsoft Paint is only available for Windows. This technology comes standard with most modern versions of Windows operating systems.

Mac Preview

Mac Preview is a basic image viewer and editor. Make quick edits to your images such as cropping and adjusting the color.

How to Get It

Mac Preview is only available for Mac. This technology comes standard with most modern versions of Mac operating systems.
